CT Scans
Heart CT Scan
This low-dose CT scan measures calcium buildup in the arteries of the heart (coronary arteries), with a coronary artery calcium (CAC) score to assess long-term cardiovascular risk. The images are timed with the heartbeat to avoid blurriness from the heart’s normal movement and rhythm.
Lungs CT Scan
This low-dose CT scan can help detect early signs of lung cancer, lung nodules or masses, emphysema, and other lung or airway abnormalities. May comment on overall heart size.

*Sarcoidosis (including granulomas) is typically evaluated with a chest CT scan and not dedicated to the lungs. The chest CT scan looks for enlarged lymph nodes in the center of the chest and signs of inflammation or scarring in the lung tissue.
