“What is going on with my body?”
At 24, Morgan was supposed to be in her prime.
She ran a health and wellness company full-time in Miami and spent her free time at the beach. She did regular workouts of Pilates and lifting and focused on eating whole foods.
But the weight kept coming.
Then came the constant fatigue. Hair loss. Heart palpitations.
And the severe cystic acne breakouts all over her face.
I was like, what is going on with my body?
Morgan’s doctor couldn’t find a solution to her growing list of symptoms.
She knew that if she wanted real answers, she’d have to look deeper.
A good influence
Morgan discovered Function through an influencer online who had shared a similar story of unexplained symptoms and frustration.
I figured I would just try it and see if there was anything wrong internally.
The testing process was straightforward and simple. She went to her local Quest Diagnostics, spent about 10 minutes getting her blood drawn, and then she waited for results.
The unexpected marker
When Morgan received her test results, the fog of confusion finally started to lift.
She was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease by a doctor when she was 11 years old, but with her recent lab tests she now had a better understanding of where things stood. Although thyroid biomarkers like TSH, T3 and T4 seemed to be within the reference range, her TPO (Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies) was elevated.
With her symptoms, history, and how she was feeling, this was a signal that her thyroid health might need more attention.
The numbers also showed an imbalance in her Omega-3s.
But the most concerning finding was her heart. Her cholesterol levels were elevated, including a high LDL Particle count.
At her young age, heart health had never even crossed her mind.

Confident in her skin
Morgan didn't waste time. She scheduled a follow-up with her endocrinologist to address her thyroid levels. She immediately started an Omega-3 supplement.
And she significantly cut back on processed foods and red meat and became more intentional about her lifestyle.
The weight started coming off. Her skin cleared up. Her energy returned.
But the most significant change wasn’t physical.
I feel like confidence is the biggest thing that I gained from figuring out where my health was at.
Inspired to run
Instead of feeling overwhelmed in the process, Morgan felt empowered.
She knew she definitely wanted to strengthen her cardiovascular health so she made a dramatic change.
She started running.
You should have seen me on my first run. It was not good.
But she stayed consistent. Two miles turned into three. Then four miles became her new normal.
Now, she’s training for a marathon.
For the women
Morgan has become passionate about encouraging other women to take a deeper look at their health.
I think so many women have complex issues and a lot of doctors just don't really get to the root cause of things. So with Function, it gives you a clear picture and I 100% would recommend it to anyone.
But Morgan isn’t just focused on how she feels today.
I want to live a long, healthy life for my future children and to be able to show up to the important events in their life, and hopefully their kids' lives.
If you don't have health, you don't have anything.
